How to know your skin type

Knowing your skin type is essential to determine the right skincare products and routine that works best for you. Here are some simple steps to help you identify your skin type:

Wash your face : Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face and remove any dirt or makeup. Pat dry with a soft towel.

Wait for an hour: Wait for about an hour before proceeding to the next step. This will allow your skin to return to its natural state.

Observe your skin: Look at your skin in a well-lit area and observe its characteristics:

Oily skin: If your skin appears shiny, particularly in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin), you likely have oily skin.

Dry skin: If your skin feels tight, flaky, or rough, you likely have dry skin.

Combination skin: If your skin is oily in the T-zone but dry in other areas, you have combination skin.

Normal skin: If your skin feels balanced, not too oily or too dry, you have normal skin.

Perform a blotting test: To confirm your skin type, take a blotting paper and gently press it onto different areas of your face. If the paper comes away with oil, you likely have oily skin. If there is no oil on the paper but your skin feels tight, you likely have dry skin.

Remember that your skin type may change over time due to various factors such as hormones, weather, and lifestyle changes. It's essential to adjust your skincare routine accordingly to keep your skin healthy and balanced.
